Work Out Decision, revised.

So it’s been a while since I worked out. My mom was visiting last weekend and I had a medical reason I couldn’t work out for a while, so I’m thinking I need to start up my morning work outs again. I hate going in the evening, but I feel like going in the morning. I’m going to try to find a friend to go with me. I want to wait a few more days, but by monday, I will be doing it again. I’ve also been thinking about doing yoga or pilates in my room. I have a yoga mat. Do any of you do that? What do you think about it?

Work Out day 1

Hooray! I just got back from showering post work out.

Today I ran .6 miles and walked another .6 miles. Thus I achieved my goal of finishing a mile somehow.

I also did 50 crunches, and 25 side crunches on each side.

I also lifted 10lb weights with my friend.

Hooray!!!

wingedcupid asked: Good luck with your workout! Wishing you the best :)

Thank you!!! I always feel like when someone else is looking to see your posts you have to step up! Thanks for helping :)

Work Out Decision

A website I read said that posting your goal and giving updates keeps you motivated. Ever since I had mononucleosis senior year, I’ve had a hard time getting back into shape. It’s hard when I’m not playing soccer like I have my whole life. I don’t mind running and I loved pilates last semester, but the gym is on the other side of campus and it’s hard to motivate. SO, Here I am posting my goal.

My current weight is 174lbs (I am 6’2)

I want to be back to 160/155lbs.

**FYI, I don’t see myself as fat or anything, I know I am not overweight. I’ve always been more fit than I have been in the last few years and my father passed from cancer, as did my grandmother. I want to be able to go on hikes without fearing that I will fail. I want to be able to have fun outside again. I just want more toning.

Tomorrow, I have day one. I will go to the gym with my friend Anya in the morning before class. My one promise to myself that I will achieve is that I will complete one mile. Walk, or run, or a combo, whatever way, I will finish 1 mile.

I really would appreciate if anyone else out there is struggling with this or has any tips or motivational pictures or quotes if they would share them with me.

The #1 thing I ask is that someone out there, even if its just one person, send me a message or somehow let me know that someone is on my side, watching and I can’t let that person down.

Thank you, wonderful person who will do that. I have faith that someone will even if I don’t know them.

I’ll post tomorrow post-workout.

In the first draft for Half-Blood Prince when Harry’s at the station and Dumbledore comes to meet him, in an early draft of that script Dumbledore said to Harry “I remember a young woman with eyes of flushing whatever… ravened hair” I read this and I scribbled on my copy of the script “Steve, Dumbledore is gay!” Shoved it up the table and Steve goes “ohhh”.

Historical Homecoming Kiss of the Day: For the first time in Navy history, a lesbian salior was picked to plant the traditional homecoming kiss on her significant other.
Through a raffle held onboard, Petty Officer 2nd Class Marissa Gaeta won the right to be the first off the ship when Oak Hill docked in Virginia Beach after several months at sea. As part of a time-honored tradition, the first off the ship gets to share the first kiss with a loved one.
23-year-old Gaeta was greeted by her girlfriend of two years, Petty Officer 3rd Class Citlalic Snell, 22, and the two locked lips while the crowd gathered around them cheered.
“It’s something new, that’s for sure,” Gaeta said after the historical smooch. “It’s nice to be able to be myself. It’s been a long time coming.”
